Why it matters — and what to expect next...


If you’re selling your property via the modern method of auction or secure sale, the legal pack is one of the most important tools in the process - and ordering it early helps everything run smoothly.


Of course, you may have already taken out your Moove Ready pack, in which case Open Moove will share all relevant documents with your Mooving Team.


Now that the Auction / Secure Sale Agreement has been signed, your solicitor will move quickly to action this.


What is the legal pack?


Think of it as your property’s CV - a detailed overview that gives buyers all the legal information they need upfront.


It typically includes:


Title documents (proof that you own the property)

Property information forms (TA6 and TA10)

Searches (local authority, water and drainage, environmental)

Leasehold information (if applicable)

Any warranties, planning permissions or building certificates


For buyers, this pack is essential. It allows them and their solicitor to make a fully informed decision - before they commit with a reservation fee. And because it’s available upfront, it removes many of the delays that cause traditional sales to fall apart.


What’s happening in the background?


Once this milestone is triggered:


• Your solicitor will begin compiling and ordering the relevant documents

• If searches are being handled via Open Moove, we’ll show progress directly in your dashboard

• Your estate agent will be kept in the loop to ensure buyer interest aligns with when the legal pack will be ready


It’s a real team effort - and Open Moove helps everyone stay aligned and accountable.


What should you do next?


Check in with your solicitor

They may need additional details from you, such as confirming boundaries, providing boiler certificates, or clarifying property history. Be as responsive as you can and upload any documents you can in to your Moove Room.


Complete any outstanding property forms

If you haven’t already filled in your TA6 or TA10, do that now. These are essential and legally required for the sale to progress.


Stay engaged on Open Moove
